Missing Artifact Instance error is generated when the image no longer has access to a version of an artifact referenced in either layers or sections. This can be a result if the artifact instance was deleted, never published with a matching qualifier or the hardware has been updated to a qualifier that the artifact version does not support.
Image with missing artifact instance error blocks running, installation, or release creation until the error is fixed.
Ensure your image references the correct artifact for the device you plan to use the image on.
If you are referencing the correct artifact and it is a local artifact, please make sure you have included the artifact instance with the correct qualifiers. You can read more about Artifact Instances and Sources here.
If the error is related to the published artifact, please contact your KOS admin to make sure the required artifact instance is published.
If the error is related to the market artifact, please contact the organization publishing the artifact to ensure the required artifact instance is published.
