Image Overview

Image Overview provides a quick summary of an image.

The below information is available to view :

  1. Parent Image: If the image was created as a child image of a particular image, the name of the parent image will be displayed here. You can find out more about child images here.

  2. Name of the image

  3. Created by and Created on date.

  4. Collaboration for the image.

  5. Assigned tags.

  6. Defined sections in the image

  7. File mappings if present

  8. Layers, if defined in the image

  9. Hardware profile

  10. Configured KOS release and the selected options for the release.

  11. The Overview screen also shows errors that must be rectified before the image is runnable.

Install an image on the target

  1. Log in to KOS Studio, and from My Images, click on Open Image Manager (in the upper right corner of the screen)

  2. From the list of images, select the image you want to update and click on Settings main settings for that image(on right hand side for image row)

  3. The window for configuring the image is now open. Here, click on the Install on Target download

  4. This is installing the image to the target specified.

Edit Image

  1. Log in to KOS Studio, and from My Images, click on Open Image Manager (in the upper right corner of the screen)

  2. From the list of images, select the image you want to update and click on Settings main settings for that image(on right hand side for image row)

  3. The window for configuring the image is now open. Here, click on edit edit

  4. This will open an edit image pop-up where you can update :

    1. Name of the image

    2. Description of the image

    3. Collaboration for the image

    4. Lock the image

    5. and hide the image.

Delete Image

  1. Log in to KOS Studio, and from My Images, click on Open Image Manager (in the upper right corner of the screen)

  2. From the list of images, select the image you want to update and click on Settings main settings for that image(on right hand side for image row)

  3. The window for configuring the image is now open.

  4. Here, click on Delete delete , a confirmation pop-up will be displayed; click the Delete button to confirm the deletion. Consider following :

    1. Deleting an image permanently deletes its content.

    2. Parent image who has any child images can’t be deleted.
