macOS

KOS Studio empowers developers with a feature-rich, user-friendly environment that accelerates smart dispense application development. This article provides information on how to install KOS Studio to macOS devices.

Requirements

  • A 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon CPU

  • macOS Monterey (12) (or higher)

Installation Location

KOS Studio is a gateway to privileged data including your repositories and API keys. By installing at the user level, you guarantee that no one else on your computer has access to the software and it allows us to keep your application up-to-date without administrator privileges. KOS Studio is installed at:

/Users/{username}/Applications/kosStudio.app

Installation Instructions

  • To install KOS Studio, execute the following command from your terminal.

  • The script asks the user to confirm the installation before proceeding. The output looks something like :

This tool will install KOS Studio on your computer.
Install directory: /Users/username/Applications/kosStudio.app
Release Channel: stable
Confirm installation by typing "yes"

  • Please confirm the installation here by typing “yes” and return to continue the installation.

  • Once the user confirms the installation, the scripts tell user exactly what it’s doing and its progress. At this point, output looks something like :

Application Removal

  • Open the Finder app

  • In the Applictions folder, select the kosStudio.app

  • Right click and select "Move to Trash" (you may need to enter your username and password)

  • To delete the app after moving it to the Trash, choose "Finder > Empty Trash"

  • You may also alternatively delete the following folder:

/Users/{username}/Applications/kosStudio.app
  • To remove the KOS Studio data directory, delete the following folder:

~/Library/Application Support/kosStudio.
